Strootman swoop back on after fitness boost - Man United to move for midfield ace in January

Man United to move for midfield ace in January

Manchester United are ready to revive their interest in Kevin Strootman in January following positive news about the Dutchman’s recovery from a serious injury, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The midfield general suffered damage to his knee in March, which ended his season and prevented him from making Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands squad for the World Cup.
The United chief was still thought to be considering a move for his compatriot this summer, but fears over the player’s recovery were said to have placed a swoop in doubt.
However, Roma have now confirmed that Strootman is well on the road to full fitness, prompting talk that he could be back in action later this year.
This is likely to tempt the Red Devils, who could mount a serious offer for his signature during the winter window.
LVG is known to be a massive fan of the enforcer, whom he has capped on numerous occasions in his Oranje side.
Strootman is seen as an ideal candidate to add more class and dynamism to the Old Trafford outfit’s engine room, and could be bumped even further up their hit list if the pursuit of Arturo Vidal ends in disappointment.
