Reports in France claim Manchester United are unsure if they want to sign Radamel Falcao on permanent basis. The Colombian star has spent most of the time on the sidelines since his move to Old Trafford and has netted only one goal for the Red Devils. Manchester United will have to pay £43million if they want to secure the services of Falcao on a permanent basis.

Barcelona complete the signing of Thomas Vermaelen from Arsenal.
Thomas Vermaelen’s move to Barcelona has not worked out the way he would have expected. A series of injuries have prevented him making his Barcelona debut. The former Arsenal man was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer and Mundo Deportivo claims Louis Van Gaal is keen to bring the defender back to England in January.

The Express claims Manchester United and Arsenal are set to battle it out for Hull City’s 20-year-old defender Andrew Robertson. The left-back moved to Hull in the summer but has shown significant improvement under the guidance of Steve Bruce. It is reported that Hull City will not accept any offer below £10million for the Englishman.

Arsenal are currently sitting on the 8th spot in the Premier League and have conceded 15 goals in 12 games so far this season. Arsene Wenger has been criticized for not signing a centre-back in the summer and hence he is set to strengthen his defence now as the Arsenal gaffer is preparing a bid to lure Fabian Schar away from Basel in the January transfer window.
