Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has dismissed claims he is interested in Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus, opening the door for Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool to make a move, Daily Mail reports.
The Blues have been heavily linked with the German winger recently but Mourinho has rejected rumours that Reus is a target for the London club.
The 25-year-old refused to sign a contract extension with Dortmund, meaning that Reus will be allowed to leave in the summer for £20million when the release clause is activated.
Several clubs are however expected to make a bid in January, with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich preparing a lucrative offer this winter.
it was suggested Chelsea to sign the former Borussia Mönchengladbach star, but Blues boss Jose Mourinho has denied there being any interest from the Stamford Bridge camp.
Ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League showdown with Schalke, Mourinho stated: “We don’t want Marco Reus. The market is closed and the player belongs to Borussia. We have top players in this position.
“No secrets, I have a fantastic relationship with the Dortmund coach and sporting director.”
The Blues are currently unbeaten so far this season as they travel to the Veltins Arena for a Champions League clash this Wednesday.
