Van Gaal attempting to create team unity - Man United boss orders players to eat together every day

Man United boss orders players to eat together every day

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has ordered his players to have meals together in the attempt to create ‘team spirit’, Daily Mail reports.
Van Gaal is hoping that eating meals in a group will create a stronger bond between the players, and has forced his squad to eat together after training every day.

The star players will dine with the club’s youth team as well as the staff at 1pm in Carrington, with these guidelines coming into effect before the arrival of their new boss on Wednesday.
Last season many believed that a huge factor in Manchester United’s downfall was the lack of unity between the players and the staff, which Van Gaal is determined to fix.
The former Bayern Munich boss believes it was the ‘togetherness’ in his Dutch squad that carried the Netherlands to the World Cup semi-final and will attempt to do the same at Old Trafford.
“I hope the group in Manchester will become like this one,” he said.
Van Gaal is expected to go on a spending spree before the transfer window closes at the end of August, with Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani the latest to be linked with the Red Devils.
