Fernando Torres on Mourinho and Benitez

AC Milan star Fernando Torres has hit out at Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez, Express reports.
The Spanish striker believes that his two previous managers could not relate to him because they didn’t make it to the top level as a player.

 

Torres joined Milan from Chelsea on a two-year loan deal during the summer and is now enjoying his time playing for Rossoneri legend Filippo Inzaghi, who had a successful career scoring over 300 competitive goals.
Despite this the 30-year-old believes that it is not essential to be a top player before becoming a manager, but it is great to have a boss that understands you as a player.
”I don’t believe it’s fundamental to have been a great champion before becoming a coach of a high calibre,” he told Italian news publication Corriere della Sera.
“From a technical and tactical point of view, competence can always be appreciated. But I have to admit that Inzaghi understands me.
“Those who have played have something extra to offer their players. Inzaghi is a bit like [Luis] Aragones who made history at Atletico.”
Torres only scored 45 goals in 172 appearances during his four-and-a half years at Chelsea

Chelsea have just confirmed on the Official Website that Didier Drogba has re-signed for Chelsea on a one year contract which is fantastic news.

Speaking to Chelsea's website, Drogba said:

Mourinho on Messi

Mourinho:  “Messi Sacrificed himself for the team. He wanted to win, he didn’t wanted to be top-scorer of MVP, he wanted to make history.”

Mourinho: “Messi played in zones that are not his. He had to play low that he had to cross 2 – 3 lines. Always had 2-3 players on him.”

Mourinho: “Messi was trying to create something out of nothing for his team. His assist to Di Maria was for example brilliant.”

Mourinho: “If Messi wanted to be phenomenon we all know he is, he’d just have played up front, close to higuin, waiting for a chance.”

Blues agree Filipe Luis fee - La Liga ace to undergo Chelsea medical ahead of £20million move

Atletico Madrid star Filipe Luis is set to undergo a medical ahead of his £20million move to Chelsea, Express reports.
Blues manager Jose Mourinho has been targeting the Brazilian as Ashley Cole’s replacement for some time and is close to landing their man after the Spanish club agreed on a £20million fee.

Luis is set to become Chelsea’s third major summer signing after securing Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas and former Atletico team-mate Diego Costa.
The 28-year-old was recently forced to train with the reserve team at Atletico, hinting that it was only a matter of time before he concludes his move to Stamford Bridge.
And reports from Spain suggest that Chelsea have met the La Liga champion’s buy-out clause for the defender after initially having an offer of £16million rejected.
Luis will undergo his medical in London with the Blues looking to complete the deal before the end of the month.
Meanwhile Ryan Bertrand is also expected to leave this summer, and Mourinho could target Argentina left-back Marcos Rojo to give Filipe Luis some competition.
